A module I convene will have a different module code next year - what must I do about the Aspire reading list for it?

You can re-use a copy of the current Aspire reading list for the next academic year - please follow these instructions.

If you want to update the content of your existing list before the annual Aspire Reading List Copy takes place - usually mid-June

  • In Aspire, make a copy of the list ( How do I do that?)
    • Add next year's module code and the module title to the List name field
    • Choose the correct academic year and semester from the Semester menu
    • Untick the Copy hierarchy associations to new list? tickbox
  • Link the list to the next year's module code in the hierarchy ( How do I do that?) and while you have the Link to Hierarchy window open, click the Remove button next to last year's module code before clicking Save
  • Republish the copied list ( How do I do that?)

If you want to update the existing list after the Aspire Reading List Copy, there will be a copy of the list ready for you to update

  • In Aspire, find the 2016-2017 version of the list and edit it ( How do I do that?)
    • update the title to show next year's module code
    • check the semester is correct
    • link to the next year's module code and remove the link to the current module code
  • Republish the copied list
