How do I find journals in Primo?
Aberystwyth University subscribes to thousands of academic journals which are available in print, online or both. These are indexed in Primo together with many open access academic journals online.
FYI there are other ways to search for journals in Primo (How do I do that?)
Add your search terms and click search
When your search results are displayed, view just the journals found by selecting Journals in the Refine My Results menu on the left
To view just the e-journals, click Full Text Onlinein the Refine My Results menu
Each journal search result in Primo will have one or both of the following tabs below it
Find & Request - some or all of the volumes of this journal are available in Aberystwyth University libraries
Click Find & Request to see which volumes are in stock. In the example below there are volumes published from 2005 onwards. 113 is the number of the volume published in 2005 and the hyphen indicates that there is a current subscription.
View Online - some or all of the volumes of this journal are available online
Click View Online to see which volumes are available. In the example below, the journal is available from 1995. As there isn't an "end" date, this means that there is a current subscription. The 1995 volume is incomplete as it only begins at issue 3.
Click View Online to see the online viewing options and advice. Sometimes there will be more than one publisher so you will need to check the holdings if you are looking for a specific volume
To view the full-text online by clicking on the Electronic full text available ... link
If you are off campus you must follow the Authentication advice which is specific to each publisher
