How do I connect to the University software drive (Mac)?

To use the software drive your computer will need to be connected to the University network (How do I do that?). If you are off campus, you must connect to the Aber VPN (How do I do that?).

• Go to the Desktop
• Click Go and then Connect to Server...
  
  
• In the Server address type smb://software.disk.aber.ac.uk/students or smb://software.disk.aber.ac.uk/staff depending on your account type
  
• Click Connect
• In the window that appears, enter your username as PAU\username and your regular password
  
• The software share should open as a folder on your computer for you to browse and install software ( Where can I find installation instructions? )
