How do I make a (teaching) room booking?

  • Go to  
  • Enter your AU username and password and click logon.
  • Choose which room you would like to book:
  • Select the size of the group from the dropdown menu.
  • Select the department. For centrally timetabled rooms, choose Timetable Office.
  • Select the zone.
  • Students can now select from request-only locations (which may require a member of staff to be present, or involve a cost) and provisional locations (which can be booked if available without other restrictions)
  • If there is a particular room you would like, or type of equipment you require, select it from the Room Types and Equipment list on the right
  • All the rooms that fit your criteria will be displayed underneath. Use the tick box to select any rooms that you wish to book.

  • Next choose the date you want to book the room on. Use the dropdown menu to select the month and year, and the calendar to select the day. If the day is not underlined in the calendar you may not book the room on that date. To book multiple days, click Select multiple days/weeks.
  • Then specify your preferred start and end time using the dropdown menus. Click Next.
  • On the next page click the radio button next to the booking details and click Next. If there are multiple options available select the one that is most suitable.

  • The next page is a summary of your booking request. Make sure all the details are filled in and correct, then click Confirm Reservation.
  • Your request will be sent to the relevant department for confirmation. In the case of centrally timetabled rooms it will be sent to the Timetable Office. Once it has been approved you will receive an email confirming your booking.
