How do I set up a recurring Teams Meeting in Blackboard? (Staff)
Setting up the Meeting
Login to Blackboard
Go to the appropriate module and the location you want the AU Teams Meeting Link to appear in (e.g. Learning Materials)
Click on Tools > AU Teams Meeting
Add a Subject for the Teams Meeting Link. You should make it clear that this link is for a recurring meeting. Include a title such as Module Code, Recurring Information, Event, Day, Time (e.g., AU11010, Recurring Seminar Link, Mondays, 2pm).
Add any instructions about the Teams Meeting in the Message box. As this is a recurring meeting, make sure that it is states clearly which sessions this link relates to (e.g. you could include a table to demonstrate all of the sessions that can be accessed through this link). Encourage students to add this meeting link series to their calendars.
Schedule the Start Time, and End Time (please note that you need to make sure that the end date is set to the correct day/time).
Then, click on the Recurrence tick box. Choose your Recurrence pattern by selecting how often you want this meeting to recur; on what days you want this meeting to recur; and when you would like the recurrence to end.
By default:
The AU Teams Meeting Link will be available to students as a content item.
A Blackboard announcement will appear linking the students to the AU Teams Meeting Link content item.
