How do I import records into Aspire from EndNote?

These instructions are for use on EndNote desktop which is available on campus computers in computer rooms and libraries.

You can export from EndNote online if you sync your references with EndNote desktop (How do I do that?)

Open your EndNote library

Click All references

Select the references you wish to export

Click File and select Export

Enter a file name e.g. week one reading list

In the Save as type menu select Text File (*txt)

In the Output style menu select Refman (RIS) Export

Tick Export selected References

Save the file to your desktop

Sign in to Aspire ( How do I do that? )

Click My Bookmarks

Click Add bookmark

Select Import citations

In the Import Citations page, click Choose file to locate the file you exported from EndNote

 

Select Import . A message will be displayed to confirm that your references have been successfully imported and you will receive an email to confirm that the references have been added to My Bookmarks.
