How do I change a users status in a Blackboard module? (Staff)

To change a user's status, for example to make a member of staff an instructor, or a postgraduate into a course builder:

  • From the Control Panel, select Users and Groups and click on Users.
  • Search for user you wish to alter by Last Name or Username.
  • Click on the arrow next to the user's name.
  • Select Change User's Role in Course.

  • Select the role you want to assign and press Submit. The user role will now change and the user should be given the privileges related to their role.
