How do I set up my computer to use the University wireless network? (Mac)

Note for staff: Staff devices that are NOT centrally managed will have internet access only when connecting to eduroam and will need to connect to the GlobalProtect VPN service for full access to AU resources.

Visit the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool website
Click the button Click here to download your eduroam installer
Use the search box at the bottom of the menu to search for Aberystwyth University and click on it
Click the blue eduroam button to download the installer
Open the file when it has downloaded and you will see a notification to review the profile in System Settings
Click the Apple icon at the top-left of the screen and open System Settings
In the menu on the left, open Privacy & Security
Click on eduroam then Install
Click Continue
In the System Username box, enter your full Aberystwyth University email address
In the System Password box, enter the password for your university IT account. Take care when typing your password and make sure it is correct
Click Install
Your computer will ask for your TouchID, or the username and password you use to log in to the computer. You will need to do this to approve the network setup
Your device will automatically connect to the eduroam network wherever the network is available
