Once you are on campus and in your hall bedroom you should:
- Switch your computer on and log in
- Connect your network cable to your computer and the socket in your hall bedroom
- Network cables are available for purchase on campus (Where from?)
- Your computer should automatically connect to the network within 5 minutes
- If you have any problems connecting to the halls network, please see our halls troubleshooting page
Once connected:
- You must ensure your computer is secure from virus attacks, hacking and spyware (How do I do that?)
- You may set up your computer for use with your University computing account (optional) (How do I do that?)
