Is it secure to print using central printers?

Secure printing using the central MFD print service is achieved through:

Access Security:

• To release a job the user must be present at the device to authenticate using their AU username and password or their Aber Card.

Network security:

• MFDs are on a separate network (VLAN) which prevents other devices from accessing them directly.

• The MFDs network interfaces is secured with a firewall.

• The print server itself is firewalled and kept up-to-date automatically with security updates.
