I've found a book in Primo - is it a print book, an e-book or both?

When you search for a book in Primo it may display several different options depending on whether the book is a print book, an e-book or both.

These options will appear under the title of the book in the search results:

  • Available at indicates that we have printed books in stock
  • Online access referes to e-books
  • Some records have both printed books and e-books available.

You may also see the option:

(What does this mean?)

If Available at is displayed:

Click on the record. Under the Find & Request tab, if you click on the location (e.g. Hugh Owen Library > Level E > QC861.3.O3) you will be able to see how many printed copies of the book there are, their loan types (How long can I borrow a book for?), which library they are in (Where is it in the library?), and if they are out on loan.

If On loan at is displayed, then all copies of the book are currently out on loan.

Under Find & Request you can see when the book is due back and the option to Request it if available (How do I do that?)

If View Online is displayed, this is an e-book (How do I read e-books I have found in Primo?)
