How do I display a webpage on my Information Monitor?

• Visit the webpage you wish to display on your Information Monitor
• Copy the URL from the address bar
• Open notepad and paste the URL into it
• Click File, then Save As
• Give the file a name and save it as .url (notepad will try to save as .txt so you need to select all files from the Save as type dropdown menu and type the extension manually)
• Save the file into the pages folder on infomon.disk.aber.ac.uk

External sites must be on the aberinfomon safe list before they are shown. Requests to allow a URL can be sent to Information Services.

www.aber.ac.uk and www.bbc.co.uk sites are already on the safe list.
