Do you help students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Aspergers settle in at Aberystwyth University?

We hold an Acclimatisation Event which is for new students and their parents/guardians/supporters, where the student is on the Autistim Spectrum or has similar difficulties.

It is aimed to help with the transition in to the University by enabling you to arrive a few days earlier than the main cohort of first year students, to participate in a programme to get to know the University, its support systems and support personnel.

We have had very good feedback from this event from parents and students who have found it beneficial in helping with the transition and providing reassurance and contacts for the parents.
