How much email can I keep?

Quota includes all aspects of email, including attachments, calendar appointments and task.

Staff (Exchange)

Aberystwyth University operates an email quota system. This quota cannot be increased.

 

Staff are given 4 GB of mailbox storage.

• At 3.70 GB you are issued with a warning on a nightly basis regarding your usage
• At 4.00 GB you are prevented from sending email
• At 4.40 GB you are prevented from sending and receiving email

This has been structured so that you will get a warning (first limit) before you are prevented from sending mail (second limit).

Students (Office365)

Microsoft operates an email quota system. This quota cannot be increased.

Students are given 25 GB of mailbox storage. This includes documents stored on the OneDrive .

• At 25 GB you will not be able to send mail.
