How do I install Anti-Virus on my own personal computer?
- All computers connected to the Aberystwyth University network, either on campus or via VPN, must have up to date virus checking software installed on them
- Windows comes with Windows Defender installed as part of the operating system but you must ensure that this is enabled (How can I enable Windows Defender?)
- For other operating systems you will need to install your own.
There are many anti-virus packages available some of which are free and some of which are fee based.
