How do I format my memory stick to HFS (Mac)?

  • This process will completely erase all data that is on the external storage device. Please back up any data you require before you begin the process
  • On the desktop select Go, then Utilities and then Disk Utility
  • Select the external storage device that you wish to format
  • Click Erase
  • Add a suitable name, and select the Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) format
  • Click Erase 
  • Once the process is complete, select Done
  • The external storage device will then have been successfully been formatted.
