How do I duplicate content in the CMS?
You can duplicate content to save yourself some work if the new page is going to have very similar content to an existing page. It can be used on any type of content. It’s commonly used for ‘metadata’ content where you want to use the same basic keywords in your new page, but add some additional ones.
- Log in to the CMS at https://cms.aber.ac.uk/.
- Find the page containing the content you wish to duplicate in the CMS site structure (How do I do that?).
- Click on the name of the section.
- Click on the Content tab.
- Click on the Actions button to the right of the piece of content you wish to duplicate.
- Select Duplicate from the menu that appears.
- In the 'Duplicate content' screen that appears, click on the name of the section where you wish to place the duplicated content.
- A green message will appear at the bottom of the screen to tell you that the content has been duplicated.
