How do I check if someone has had their activation email?

  • Login to Reg
  • Find their account:
    • By Surname: Type their surname in the search box and change the search criteria field to Surname using the drop down box. Note the default search is only the first 50 records so if it is a common surname you will need to change this.
    • By Student number: Type their student number in the search box and change the search criteria field to Student/Staff number
  • Open their user record by clicking on it
  • Check the account is active:
    • If the top of their record displays a green bar and says Active,. They've already acivated their account and won't receive an email
    • If the top of their record displays a red bar and says Locked or Invalid contact the IT Service Desk
    • If the top of their record displays a red bar and says Inactive then they can expect an activation email
  • Click on the History tab. Check their history to see if an email's been sent
  • Click on the Scheduled tab. This will show future emails scheduled for the the account
  • If there is no email in their history or scheduled, contact the IT Service Desk
