How do I reorder content in the CMS?
If you have multiple pieces of content in a section you can change the order in which they are displayed on the page. This only affects content that is displayed in the main area of the page, e.g. General Content, and doesn’t affect content such as Related Links.
- Log in to the CMS at https://cms.aber.ac.uk/.
- Find the page you need to edit in the CMS site structure (How do I do that?).
- Click on the name of the section.
- Click on the Content tab.
- To reorder the pieces of content, click on the move icon to the left of the piece of content you want to move, and drag the content to the new position.
- It is also possible to have the pieces of content ordered automatically. To enable this, turn on 'Enable automatic ordering' at the top right and choose the appropriate type of ordering from the drop-down that appears below
- After selecting the method, select all of the content you wish to automatically order by ticking the relevant boxes to the far right (if you want to select all of them, click the box at the top).
- Click on the 'Bulk actions' button and choose 'Bulk unlock'.
- The selected content will now be ordered automatically according to the method you chose.
- Click the 'Save changes' button to save your work.
