How do I create a Panopto Assessment folder for a module? (Staff)

Folders with restricted access are useful for recording presentations and oral examinations directly through Panopto.

Only specified members of staff may access Panopto Assessment folders. Students can not see the contents of Assessment folders.

Go to and Sign in using Blackboard using your AU username and password.

  • Go to Browse on the left-hand side and My Folders

  • Go to the folder you want to add an Assessment folder to, right click and select New Subfolder

  • Name the folder, i.e, "Oral Exam",  Untick Create Folder

  • You can now add specific users to the folder. Only the users you select will have access to the folder

  • To create a new recording in the folder, click into the folder and press the "Create" button

  • You will need a webcam plugged into your PC to make a recording.
