How do I create a Panopto Assessment folder for a module? (Staff)
Folders with restricted access are useful for recording presentations and oral examinations directly through Panopto.
Only specified members of staff may access Panopto Assessment folders. Students can not see the contents of Assessment folders.
Assessment folders for modules may be created either through Blackboard, or through Panopto.
To create an Assessment folder through Blackboard
Go to the module in Blackboard and select:
- Tools, Panopto Content
- Click on Add Folder
- Enter a title for the folder, such as Assessed Performance, or Oral Exam, for example
- Press Enter
- Go into the new folder
- Go to Settings at the top right-hand side
- Select Share
- Under Who has access, select Specific people
You may then choose to give specified individuals access to the folder.
- Add individuals AU usernames, select View and Send and save changes and close the window.
- To create a new recording in the folder, click into the folder and press the "Create" button.
- You will need a webcam plugged into your PC to make a recording.
