How do I add a large image or video at the top of a webpage in the CMS?
Before starting to add a large image or video at the top of a webpage, ensure that your image or video has been prepared for upload to the CMS. See Information Sheet 30.0 for further information on how to do this.
- Log in to the CMS at https://cms.aber.ac.uk/.
- Go to the section where you would like to introduce a large image or video at the top of the webpage.
- Click on the Content tab, before selecting Add content and choosing Page Intro – Image or Video. Note: If this option is unavailable to you, please contact Information Services with details of the section on the CMS to enable this content type.
- In the Page Intro – Image or Video template, give the piece of content a name and type the main heading for the page in the Title box.
To add a large image:
- Tick the Use Image tick box.
- Click on the Image box and upload the image you wish to use.
To add a video:
- Copy the last part of the video’s YouTube address i.e. after “?v=”.
- Paste this code into the Video box.
- To add the Headline and Introductory text, type in the desired text in the Headline and Introduction boxes respectively.
- Click Save changes to add the content.
