How do I open my bitlocker encrypted USB drive on my Mac?

Due to BitLocker being a Windows feature there are limited solutions to accessing encrypted USB devices on a Mac. If you need to move files from a Windows machine to a Mac, the most suitable solution is to store your files on a network drive. You can use your personal university filestore to achieve this.

However, if you have a BitLocker encrypted drive that you need to open on a Mac then you can use M3Recovery. M3Recovery is available here: https://www.m3datarecovery.com/mac-bitlocker/open-bitlocker-encrypted-usb-drive-mac-osx.html

Note: This is only a free trial and may limit the features available. The full version is a paid piece of software.
