How do I add captions to a Panopto recording?

Panopto has the capability to add captions to recordings made in Panopto. To enable captions on your recording:

• Go to panopto.aber.ac.uk and log in using your Aberystwyth username and password
• Navigate to the recording that you would like to add the captions to
• Select Edit
• From the left-hand navigation menu, select Captions
• On the dropdown menu, select Import automatic captions
• If you are happy with the captions select Apply and the savings will be made to the recording
• If you need to edit the captions:
  • Double-click on the captions and amend the text (note that the captions aren't always 100% accurate and we would advise checking the captions before publishing them)
