How do I create printing accounts for AIEC tenants?

  • Login to https://myadmin.aber.ac.uk
  • Choose ID Management (authorised users only)
  • Choose Create Record from the left hand menu
  • You will see a list of all existing EC records
  • Click on Create on the right hand side
    • Enter details as follows
    • Ext Type: AIEC Tenant
    • Forenames
    • Surname
    • Home email: (The user will only be able to email documents to print from this email address or scan to this email address)
    • Level 4: ADO
    • Start Date
    • Soft end date:
    • Hard end date: (should be the same as soft end date)
    • Responsible: Input aiestaff - (all emails regarding account and password expiry will be sent to this address)
    • Company name: Will be printed an ABer Card exactly as typed here
    • Browse to choose and upload the photo to be printed on the Aber card
  • Click Create
  • Choose People from the left hand menu
  • Click on the Search icon next to the record
  • Check all the details are correct and choose Print Card
  • Contact is@aber.ac.uk asking for the card to be printed and advising how the card will be collected

To check whether the account has been created (this can take up to 15 minutes):

  • Login to https://reg.aber.ac.uk
  • Search for the user
  • The account is there and is active
  • If the card has been printed you will see the card number under Aber Card
