How do I call someone using Microsoft Teams?
You can make one-on-one or group calls with anyone in your organization using Microsoft Teams.
These calls are private and won't appear in any team conversation.
Up to 20 people can be on the same video call.
From the desktop app
- Open Microsoft Teams on your dekstop
- Choose calls from the left hand menu
- Click on Make a call
- Search for the person/s you wish to call
- Select the correct user/s from the list which appears so their name/s appear in the call box
- Click on:
the Phone icon to make an audio call
the Camera icon to make a video call
From the mobile app:
- Open the Teams App on your phone/tablet
- Click on More in the menu bar at the bottom right
- This will show a list of your most recent calls
- Click on the Phone icon in the top right of your screen
- Search for the person/s you wish to call
- Select the correct user/s from the list which appears so their name/s appear in the To: bar
- Click on:
the Phone symbol to make the call
the camera symbol to make a video call
From within a Teams chat
- From within your Teams chat, using either the desktop or mobile app, click on the Phone icon to make an audio call, or the Camera icon to make a video call
- This will call all users in your chat whose status is set to Available
