How do I join a Teams meeting?

Joining from a Teams meeting in your calendar:

  • Go to and find your meeting appointment
  • Click once on the appointment
  • Click the Join button:
  • Click Open Microsoft Teams:

  • Click Join now:

Joining a meeting from Blackboard

  • Login to Blackboard and go to the module
  • You will see the details of the meeting on your Announcements page
  • Click on the Course link at the bottom of the announcement
  • You will see more details about the meeting
  • 15 minutes before the meeting you will see the link Join MS Teams Meeting
  • Click Open Microsoft Teams:

  • Click Join now:

NB - If you join a meeting that lots of people are already in, you will be automatically muted.

Before you join you can also:

  • switch your camera on or off using the button next to the camera icon.
  • set a background using the background icon

You can also join a meeting directly from a link on a web page or in an email if it has been sent to you.
