How do I request a chapter/article/thesis to be scanned from an item in the library? (Staff and Students)

If you are a student or member of staff at the University, you can request a scanned copy of a journal article, book chapter, or thesis extract from our print collections, as long as the request complies with copyright regulations.

• Visit this page: https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/is/library-services/digitisation/
• Scroll down to the Request a Scan section
• Select the resource type to scan from - chapter/article/thesis
• Complete your personal details and the bibliographic details of the item on the form 
• Tick the declaration boxes 
• Click Submit
• The form will now be submitted to the digitisation staff
• If no copyright restrictions, the scanned reading will be sent directly to your Aberystwyth University email
  • The digitisation staff will be in contact if there are any copyright issues
