I am visiting Aberystwyth from another University, can I use your wireless network?

Aberystwyth University is part of eduroam.

eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.

eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions.

Aberystwyth University allows Visited access to eduroam for users from any participating institution.

Users from participating organisations can connect via:

  • wireless (eduroam) available in any of the University buildings (but not Halls of Residence)
  • wired (using 802.1x authentication) in Halls of Residence only

You should make arrangements to use the service with your own institution before arriving in Aberystwyth.

If your institution does not participate in eduroam, you can take advantage of our Visitors Wireless network
