How do I find out the MAC address of my computer? (Windows)
- Search for "settings" in the search bar at the bottom of your screen
- Open the Settings app
- In the window that opens, select Network & internet from the options on the left
- For WiFi (wireless connections):
- Select WiFi
- Select Hardware properties
- Find the Physical address (MAC)
- For Ethernet (wired connections):
- Select Ethernet on the left hand side
- Select the dropdown next to the connection name to open details about it (one may already be open by default)
- Find the Physical address (MAC)
- MAC addresses are always twelve characters long, and only contain numbers and certain letters (A, B, C, D, E, and F)
- They may also be broken up by colons or hyphens for readability, e.g. 00:AA:35:DB:F0:1E
