How do I find out the MAC address of my computer? (Windows)

  • In Windows 10, click the start menu in the bottom left
  • Click the cog icon to open the settings menu
  • Select Network and Internet
  • For WIFI:
    • Click WIFI on the left hand side
    • Click Hardware properties
    • Look for Physical Address (MAC)
  • For Ethernet (wired):
    • Click Ethernet on the left hand side
    • Click the connection name
    • Look for Physical Address (MAC) at the bottom of the page
  • MAC addresses are always twelve characters long, and will be a mixture of letters and numbers, eg. 00:11:22:AA:66:DD
  • To use your computer on the AU network you will need to register this MAC address ( How do I do this? )
