How do I save a document on my USB drive?

  • Plug in your USB drive
  • You will be prompted to encrypt your USB drive (How do I do that?). If you do not encrypt, you will not be able to save files to the drive
  • Open File Explorer
  • Browse to the location where your file is saved
  • Right click the file you want to copy
  • Select Send to: from the menu
  • Choose your USB drive from this list
  • Click Save
  • You can also drag and drop your files, or save them directly onto the USB drive
  • Before you remove the USB drive, check to make sure your document is there
