How do I record a personal voice mail greeting (Unity?)

University policy states that all answer phone messages must be bilingual, with the Welsh coming first. Staff Guide to The Welsh Language Scheme

An example of a bilingual message you could use is provided below . If you require help or advice on recording a bilingual message please contact the Centre for Welsh Language Services at canolfangymraeg@aber.ac.uk or phone on (01970-62)2045.

  • Call your Unity Voice mailbox on extension 2435 (or from 01970 62 2435 externally)
    • If you are changing the voicemail message for a different extension number than your own, press asterisk ( * ) as soon as the call is answered by the voicemail system. You can then enter your extension followed by # before being asked for the PIN
  • Enter your existing PIN at the prompt - If calling externally you have to press asterisk ( * ) and then enter your extension followed by # and then your PIN
  • Press 4 - Setup Options
  • Press 1 - Change greetings
  • Select Language 1 - US English or 2 - UK English
  • Press 1 - Rerecord greeting
  • Alternatively you can Press 3 to edit your other greetings
