Where can I find help using the University central server?
- Registered computer users at Aberystwyth University can open a terminal session on the server central.aber.ac.uk ( How do I do that? )
- At the $ prompt type man and then the command with which you want help e.g. man grep
- If you don't know the precise command you want, type man -k [ keyword ]
e.g. man -k printer will give you a list of UNIX commands related to printers - If you have any problems please contact Information Services
