How do I start a conference call I have booked?

  • You need to have booked a conference line before you make your call (How do I arrange a conference call?)
  • The first person on the call needs to have a VoIP phone on the AU network.
  • Lift handset, press the More soft button repeatedly until ‘MeetMe’ appears and select it - this needs to be done within approx 5 seconds or the system thinks you've left the phone off the hook and says "The call cannot be completed as dialled, or ask your operator for assistance".
    VOIP interface
  • The display asks for 'Enter number' and you type in the conference number (2620 or 1837 - whichever you have booked).
  • The VoIP phone should then connect to 'To Conference (2620 or 1837)'.
    connecting to the VOIP conference
  • Others can now dial 2620 or 1837 internal (analogue or VoIP phone) and from externally by dialling 01970-62xxxx to join the call
  • The originator can hang up to drop out of the conference leaving the others in place. The call will not be completed until all users have hung up.
