How do I use my University email address with my Apple ID?

The Apple account associated with your University email address is managed by Information Services. You can't use your University email address for a personal Apple account or for signing in to personal Apple devices

You will need to log in to all University owned Apple devices with your University email address and password

You will need to sign in to personally owned Apple devices using an Apple account associated with your personal email address. If you are using your University email address with a personal Apple account or a personal Apple device, you will need to change it to use a personal email address

If you need to create an Apple account that is associated with your University email address, you can use the email address @appleid.aber.ac.uk - For example, if your username is abc1 then you can use the email address abc1@appleid.aber.ac.uk to register an Apple account. Emails sent to this address will be sent to your regular University email
