What is the difference between a video, course, learning path and a collection in LinkedIn Learning?
The University’s subscription to Linkedin Learning will end on the 28th March 2025. If you have completed any training courses on Linkedin Learning and wish to retain your certificate(s) of completion, please download them by 28 March. Guidance on how to do this is available at https://www.linkedin.com/help/learning/answer/a700836. If you have any queries, please contact is@aber.ac.uk.
Videos in LinkedIn Learning are single videos which are generally taken from longer courses.
Courses are compiled of shorter videos, which are generally organised into chapters. Courses often contain quizzes to test for understanding. After completing a course, you can generally download a certificate of completion.
Learning paths are compiled of videos, courses and sometimes documents, all of which will be related to a specific topic. Learning paths are often organised into sections. The user will be encouraged to watch the content of the learning path in a specific sequence. After completing a learning path, you can generally download a certificate of completion.
Collections are a group of courses and videos related to a specific topic. Content within collections do not have a particular order, and do not need to be watched in sequence.
