How do I update my SPSS license?

You'll first need to find the license code of your version of SPSS:

• Go to the Software Downloads page
• Click on Download on the version of SPSS you are using
• Copy the code from the Declaration page, and Cancel

SPSS should automatically ask you to update your license when you open it.

• Enter the code for your version of SPSS and click Next. The name at the top-left of the window will show which version of SPSS you are using
• When the code is accepted, click Next then Finish

The instructions below are only if the instructions above didn’t work.

If SPSS tells you that your license has expired but doesn't ask you for a new code, you can update your license manually by following these steps:

• Open the Start menu then the "IBM SPSS Statistics" folder. If you are using a mac, open the Applications folder and then the "IBM SPSS Statistics" folder
• Open the IBM SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard
  
  
• Click Next
  
• Select "Authorized user license (I purchased a single copy of the product)" then click Next
  
  
• Enter the code for your version of SPSS and click Add and Next. The name at the top-left of the window will show which version of SPSS you are using
  
• When the code is accepted, click Next then Finish.
