How do I register to use Mendeley?

This free tool is not supported by the University but there is support documentation online. Mendeley allows you to import references into your assignments using a citation add-in for Word.

• Visit https://mendeley.com 
• Accept the cookies you’re happy with 
• Click Create free account 

• Click Sign in via your institution 

• Search for Aberystwyth University
• Click Continue

• In the next box that appears click Access through Aberystwyth University 

• Then you will be prompted for your AU email address 

• And password  

• As occasionally happens you may also be required to 2-factor authenticate 

• Then you are returned to this page where you will see your name in the top right corner 

• When you visit https://mendeley.com in the future  

• Click Sign In on the menu bar at the top of the page 

• Then you will be directed through the Sign in via your Institution sequence
