How do I view Panopto captions?

Click on the Captions tab on the left-hand side of the screen 

You can also click on the CC icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the recording 

You can change the caption style depending on your requirements – more information is available on the Panopto Support site (English language only).  

As well as viewing the captions while watching a recording, you can also download a transcript of the recording. This is useful if you need to refer to the teaching materials away from a wifi / network connection.  

Click on the Captions tab on the left-hand side of the screen 

 

Click on the Download arrow above the captions 

 

This will download the transcript into a text file which can be opened in Word, Notepad or other word processing packages.
