What is the Blackboard Online Exams firewall set up?
Blackboard Tests are used for our Blackboard Online Exams.
To help protect assessment integrity, a firewall rule is applied to the PCs in the designated online exam room.
This firewall rule prevents anyone logging in to the PCs in that room from accessing the internet, except for the following list of agreed sites.
The exam firewall is:
- Enabled between 09:00 and 17:30 during the examinations period
- Applies to all computers in the computer room
- Applies to all students (regardless as to whether they have an online exam or not)
As part of the outreach with Module Co-ordinators, we ask for a list of sites that students need to be able to access for the exam.
