Why is Turnitin changing?

On 31 August 2022 Turnitin will be ending their support for the existing Blackboard building block. This will be replaced with an LTI.  

This means that all courses starting in September 2022 will be using the new Turnitin LTI.  

Existing Turnitin submission points with due dates before 31 August 2022 will still allow students to submit their work and you will be able to continue to mark. 

On 31 August 2023 Turnitin’s building block functionality will end. On this date, access to Turnitin assignments via the Blackboard Learn Building Block will no longer be available.
